Grid Playing Scarf. Made from 100% cotton muslin. Our artists experimenting with abstract concepts and playing with the concept of minimalism, lines and the grayscale. The minimalist aspect of line and just the grid was an exercise in the elements and principles of design. Also, having this kind of freedom, in simple abstract shapes is very different from the usual art practice undertaken by traditional artists here in Bali.
The size of this Grid Playing Scarfis generous and fun, due to the lightweight nature of muslin, it has a nice volume whilst not being heavy. With wear it has a nice cosiness to it that we associate with clothes and articles that we wear often and associate familiarity and comfort with. Like comfort blanket or throws that you have in your room.
To try something new, can always be a little daunting. This is why we named this the Grid Playing Scarf. Playing with an idea, a different way to paint or draw, was something fun for our artists to experience.
